Shop Yourself Stupid – Sat Oct 3

Yep, they’re back and Darlo’s pulling out all stops to support the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation in the event.

On Saturday 3rd October many of the local Darlo shops have pledged a portion of their sales to BGF (Australia’s Longest Running HIV charity). Many of the venues on the street are putting on events throughout the day, shops will be trading out the front of their premises and more stuff is sure to fall out of the mix before then.

Darlinghurst Christmas Party Tuesday 25th November

Hey There.

It’s with great pleasure that we invite you to the Darlinghurst Business Partnership Christmas Party with a twist.

We know you are bored with the usual meetings, because we are too, so we a going to kill a few birds with one stone.

The main focus of our evening will be to drink, eat some awesome nibblies, drink some more and have a bit of a chin wag.

The twist we mentioned is that we have invited some important guests to answer your questions.

Superintendent Donna Adney of the Surry Hills Police Command has already accepted our invitation. As this email goes out we are waiting on responses from no less than

City of Sydney CEO – Monica Barone

Director of Council Property Dept. – John Payne

City of Sydney Manager of Economic Development – Shawn Day

There will be a short, formal question and answer session and we’d like to know from you before hand what is on your mind, so we can give our guests a chance to think about their answers. Please email us with your questions/thoughts.

There will also be an amount of time for questions from the floor.

All businesses, residents, resident’s groups, council employees, elected officials and other interested parties are welcome so please forward this email to people active within the community,

A printed flier will be coming out within the next week but we are just waiting on confirmation from the invited speakers.

RSVP would be great (so we can get the bar tab right) – stephan (at) therecordstore.com.au
